Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation

Cranial electrotherapy stimulation (CES) is a process that works to normalize electrical currents in the brain. In his fascinating book The Science Behind Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation, Daniel Kirsch, Ph.D., D.A.A.P.M., F.A.I.S., outlined 126 studies that documented the effectiveness of CES in treating pain, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and even fibromyalgia.
Whereas the Alpha-Stim, the CES equipment used at doctor’s offices, consisted of a large box with many dials and cost about $4,000 years ago, it is contained within a small hand-held unit and costs less than $400 today. There are even insurance codes for various CES treatments at a doctor’s office.
